Board Meeting Minutes
The monthly meeting of the Shenandoah
Valley at Battlecreek Homeowners Association was held on 02-22-07 at Angus Inn.
It was called to order at 7:00
P.M. by President, Wes Herzberg and attended by Nick Cory, Wes
Herzberg, Tom Emmert, Julie Harris, Bill Richards and member at large, Ken
Brenkman – Newsletter. Dee Farlow and Mike Wooten were unable to attend.
Outgoing member Kathie Wade was also present.
Tom Emmert read the 01-25-07 Special Board Meeting minutes.
Bill moved that they be accepted as corrected, Julie seconded and all
approved. Tom read the minutes from
the 02-06-07 Annual Homeowners Meeting.
Julie moved that they be accepted as corrected, Bill seconded and all
approved.
Appreciation was extended to Kathie Wade for
exceptional service to the board and to the addition.
Wes and Julie were also thanked for the quality of their service and for
continuing to serve the addition on the board.
Nick Cory was welcomed to the board as is Dee Farlow.
Positions were
accepted as follows for the new year:
President – Wes Herzberg
Treasurer – Bill Richards
Secretary – Tom Emmert
Architectural/Covenants – Julie Harris
Landscape/Maintenance – Mike Wooten
Special Projects – Nick Cory
Social Events – Dee Farlow
The possibility of a Vice President/ President
Elect position will be discussed later purposing to assist continuity of
services by the board.
Julie Harris and Kathie Wade reported on their
meeting with the City Planner for
Broken Arrow. They will provide Julie with a large aerial
map to assist clarification when discussing specific areas. Traffic control on
Sandusky was
further discussed. There are no
plans to widen 51st
street at this time and would be several years away.
Intersections would be widened first and 3 lane roads would be
constructed before 5 lanes. The
barn area has been cleaned.
Daffodils planted by SVHOA are coming up.
The City applauded the quality work being accomplished by SVHOA.
Bill Richards, Treasurer, reported that 16 of
170 dues were unpaid. A reminder
letter will be sent out to those homeowners on March 01.
Bill met with Chris and Connie of the management company on 02-21-07.
$21,000 was transferred to the Arvest account for
Radar Group management purposes and the
existing BOA account will be closed upon completion of a few remaining
transactions. The SVHOA PO Box will
be kept.
Logo concepts were reviewed and will be further pursed.
Website guidelines will be reviewed in the future.
An electrician has been contacted to give an estimate for electrical
repairs to the 145th street
entrance.
Julie
made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, Tom seconded and all approved.
Wes will set the next meeting time and advise.
