February 06, 2007, 2007 General Membership Meeting The Annual meeting of the Shenandoah Valley at Battlecreek Homeowners Association was held on 02-06-07 at the Church at Battlecreek. There were 49 in attendance. It was called to order by President Wes Herzberg at 7:10 P.M. who introduced Board members Tom Emmert, Julie Harris, Bill Richards, Kathie Wade, and Mike Wooten. Members at large Dee Farlow and Ken Brenkman were also present. The first order of business was the election of officers to replace outgoing members Wes Herzberg, Julie Harris and Kathie Wade, and one vacated position. The ballot opened with nominees Wes Herzberg and Julie Harris for re-election and Dee Farlow. Nick Cory added his name. There were no other nominations from the floor and Ken Brenkman made a motion that the nominees be approved by acclamation, seconded by Keith Hanes. Nominees were approved by a show of hands. A meeting will be scheduled in the next ten days to determine positions Reports were then presented as follows: Treasurer – Bill Richards - December 31 2006 year end statement Financial Management Outsourcing – Wes Herzberg - The board has approved and contracted for financial management by The Rader Group with continued existence of the boards Treasurer Function and coordination with the management company. There was a discussion with support verbalized by residents in attendance.Landscape/Maintenance – Mike Wooten - Recognition of Kathie Wade

Architectural/Covenants Committee – Julie Harris - Chimney caps- Landscape requirements - Kathie Wade’s assistance to include personal visits to builders - Above ground pool violation contacts and response - Reminder to contact the covenants committee for structural changes and paint changes for color - Fee and fine structure considerations by the board - City of Broken Arrow Homeowners training attended by Kathie Wade
Special Projects –Kathie Wade - Christmas decorations - Daffodil project - Newsletter - Interface with the new Battlecreek Golf Course Management - Oak street sign pillar with plans and $5-6000 cost estimates determined too high for consideration now. - Assistance with landscape/maintenance projects.
Event Coordinators – Dee Farlow - Golf packets - Valley Eventure Newsletter - Block Captains - April Easter Egg Hunt – TBA - May Garage Sale - June Golf Tournament – TBA - July 4th Parade
Additional Business - Recognition to Ken Brenkman and Pam Wooten for the Newsletter - Recognition to Don Guy for the Website - Welcome to the elected officers - Discussion of a graphic artist needed to develop the logo – Don Guy will assist
Wrap-up and Residents Concerns - Reviewed concerns for the lights not working at the 145th street entrance - Concerns were expressed for the unsightly barn at 145th and 51st street. Kathie Wade has been in touch with the city regarding this issue and will continue to communicate with the city. The meeting was adjourned.
